Built on the premise of ENGINEERING CHΔNGE® Podcast, the ENGINEERING CHΔNGE® Awards recognize individuals and organizations - in ALL disciplines (not just engineering) - that have demonstrated success in applying intentional, iterative strategies to effect sustainable, impactful change toward equitable opportunities and outcomes for people from all backgrounds and identities.

AWARD CRITERIA

PROBLEMATIZATION

The nominee has actively engaged people from the impacted communities, identities, and/or populations in the identification of problems to be solved.


IDEATION

The nominee has actively engaged people from the impacted communities, identities, and/or populations in the formulation of ideas to address the problems they (the communities) have defined.


CREATION, EVALUATION & ITERATION

The nominee has utilized an intentional, iterative, user-centered approach that incorporates the ideas and lived experiences

of the impacted communities, identities, and/or populations in

creating and evaluating possible solutions (policies, programs, prototypes, models, etc.).


IMPACT

The nominee’s solutions and/or strategies have produced measurable results that demonstrably improve quality of life, educational opportunities, career success, or other outcomes for the impacted communities, identities, and/or populations.


REPLICATION

The nominee’s solutions and/or strategies are sustainable and potentially reproducible.
